Can I bring a camper van to The Open?

Spectators travelling to The Open using a motor home, camper van, recreational vehicle or other inhabitable vehicle should park at The Open Coach or Minibus parking facilities. However, please note overnight parking is not permitted at any of our parking facilities.


  • Vehicles less than 5 meters in length or with a passenger capacity less than 10 persons can use public Park & Ride parking. Park & Ride parking passes will be available to purchase at a cost of £12 from Sunday 13 to Tuesday 15 July, and £17 from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 July.   • Vehicles between 5 and 7.99 meters or with a passenger capacity between 10-22 should purchase a minibus parking pass. Minibus parking will be available for purchase on the day at a cost of £45 per day. Click here for information on minibus parking at The Open.
  • Vehicles longer than 7.99 meters or with a passenger capacity greater than 22 should purchase a coach parking pass. Coach parking will be available for purchase on the day at a cost of £70 per day. Click here for information on coach parking at The Open.


Please note there are no motor home hook up facilities available. All minibus and coach parking is located within 1 km of the main public entrance to The 153rd Open. More information about getting to The 153rd Open is available on our Getting There page.
